About

I grew up in the quaint town of Tyro, nestled in rural North Carolina.

My journey with yoga began in high school when my ballet teacher earned her yoga teaching certificate and introduced our class to the practice. The stark contrast between ballet and yoga was captivating for me. While ballet emphasized artistry, I was drawn to yoga’s holistic approach and focus on health. The beauty of the Sanskrit language and the rich history of yoga further deepened my interest. Seeking both education and movement, I moved to Memphis to enroll at the Memphis College of Art. There, I discovered Midtown Yoga, where they offered pay-what-you-can classes. These sessions ignited my passion for yoga, and I started integrating the intuitive processes from my yoga practice into my art. In 2015, I enrolled in the teacher training program at Midtown Yoga and received my certification. Since then, I have taught community classes in Memphis and spent a few months sharing my practice in Brooklyn, New York. I believe there are many paths to enlightenment and well-being, but yoga is among the most effective. It’s a privilege to guide others on this journey of self-care and heightened awareness. Rooted in yoga tradition, I also encourage my students to listen to their intuition, blending classical teachings with a personalized approach to their practice. I love being a part of their journey toward self-discovery and holistic health.
