Alice BW is currently registered with Yoga Alliance as a E- RYT hour as well as a YACEP About Alice BW: I initially decided I needed to take a yoga class to help me with balancing my family life and work demands My schedule did not allow much open time so even though I was not a “morning person” I began my first yoga classes at am And soon my transformation began At first there were subtle changes and then my yoga classes helped me become more present in the moment The various poses allowed me to really understand the phrase “meditation in motion” I started taking classes with different instructors – learning both new poses and styles The effects of doing yoga started to extend beyond my class time and into other areas of my life I became interested how the yoga poses worked with our chakras energy centers in our body While continuing with my yoga practice began the study of Reiki and completed the Reiki Master level I realized that yoga had made a dramatic impact on my life so I decided to pursue a hour yoga teaching certification with Stephanie Pappas at the Devalila School After completing my yoga hour teacher training I also completed an additional hours of training with Tari Prinster to teach yoga to cancer patients and survivors I have been in my yoga journey for over years I recognize that students come to class with different needs and at various levels I modify poses to meet the needs and levels of my students and to allow every student the ability to experience yoga and all its benefits I teach classes in Hatha multi-level gentle flow specialty cancer and eating disorders yin restorative partner Gentle Somatic Yoga and chair yoga Each class is designed with the needs of my students in mind My classes emphasize "experiencing yoga" and are known for a mix of asanas philosophy mudras and lightheartedness As I continue my yoga journey I look forward to being a guide for youon your own yoga journey.
