About
Andrew Krause, PMP Owner & CEO, Power Moves Yoga (RYS)My journey into yoga began as a way to balance the intensity of competitive martial arts and the fast-paced demands of my professional life.
What started as a search for physical conditioning quickly revealed a much deeper path—one that offered discipline, introspection, and a profound shift in how I related to myself and others. Yoga became the framework through which I understood my own psychological patterns, and that integration of mind and movement continues to define both my personal practice and my teaching. In public classes, I specialize in alignment-based, mindful power vinyasa with a strong emphasis on advanced sequencing theory. My classes are designed to improve functional mobility, inspire creative flow, and cultivate embodied awareness. I also teach Fire (Hot Yoga) at Power Moves Yoga, encouraging students to build discipline through structured, energetic practice. Beyond weekly classes, I develop & lead immersive programs exploring the 8-Limbs of Yoga, Paths of Meditation, Yoga Psychology, and Advanced Arm Balancing. I regularly host specialty workshops including arm balancing, sankalpa, and practice design.Teacher development is one of the most meaningful aspects of my work. I write and publish training materials and lead teacher training programs at both the 200- and 500-hour levels. My focus areas include yoga history, philosophy, meditation, and advanced vinyasa methodology. Guiding trainees continuously sharpens my own craft and deepens my understanding of how traditional yogic principles intersect with modern psychological frameworks.Off the mat, I am committed to elevating the yoga community through leadership, education, and ethical stewardship. Drawing from my background in business and project management, I work to bridge ancient wisdom with contemporary culture in a way that honors the lineage while supporting today’s practitioners. My teaching style is energetic, fluid, and transparent—inviting students to reconnect with their potential, capacity, and depth.Education: PhD Candidate, Clinical PsychologyMA Clinical Mental Health B.S. in Business Administration & B.S. in Psychology Project Management Professional (PMP) E-RYT 500 (Experienced Registered 500 Hour Yoga Teacher)
