I started practicing yoga over years ago! I had just had a baby girl and was going through a very hard time yoga helped me through it Yoga was also a compliment to the physical activities I was doing at the time such as skiing running dancing biking swimming and tennis to name a few To this day yoga still helps me get through physical and emotional times In teaching I try to stress this to my students along with the understanding they are helping their body and mind stay healthy from the inside out I started out following Yoga Pilates and Conditioning classes on CDs I loved Grace Lazenby a Hollywood fitness trainer Also taking classes at local yoga studios that were popping up in the area I continue to practice and teach and take Continuing Education classes through Yoga Alliance I have worked for American Airlines since in various positions Starting as a Customer Care Agent at Boston Logan Airport Moving into sales at the City Ticket Office in Boston and now as a Control Center Coordinator in the American Airlines Operations Tower Since I have the opportunity to travel it has afforded me to take and teach yoga classes in different parts of the world My most memorable one was a yoga/surf retreat in Rincon PR Taking yoga classes in Costa Rica Oaxaca MX Austin TX A yoga/meditation retreat in Captiva FL a weekend at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health Stockbridge MA One week yoga instructor at Club Med Sandpiper Bay FL and Turks and Caicos and yoga/hiking retreat at Institute of Mentalphysics Joshua Tree NP CA I started my own "business" YOGO "Yoga Goes" Anywhere! For Strength Flexibility Breath and Relaxation back in April of when Covid started With the suggestion from my sister who lives in another state to stay connected and to help me to keep teaching yoga It is online for now but soon we will be meeting in person Also during covid I started a free Chair YOGO class for Seniors suggested by my yr old mother! Last thought My classes have evolved from a powerful athletic practice to more of a gentler slower flow practice with age comes wisdom Join me on your mat namaste!.
