Raised in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Britni’s love for yoga began in college, and she has now been teaching in the local community for more than 13 years.
She completed her 500-hour teacher training certification with Annie Carpenter in California. Britni has also studied extensively with Nathalie Croix in New Orleans and completed special training in Pre- and Post-Natal Yoga, as well as Yin Yoga. Graduating with a BA in Visual Arts, she is a very creative person, light-hearted and fun, and she likes her yoga that way too! She enjoys teaching a Vinyasa Flow style of yoga and creating challenging class sequences that coordinate movement and breath, with a strong focus on safe alignment. Every class is different, except that you will probably smile, if not laugh, at least once every time you practice. She also has a passion for Restorative Yoga and encourages taking time for yourself to rest, relax and be still. Britni believes in the power of a deeply transformative yoga practice and is inspired by taking lessons learned on the mat and applying them to everyday life. In her spare time, Britni can be found with her husband and yogi, Scott, and their two adopted greyhounds, Bonnie and Clyde (who also regularly practice Downward Dog).
