Candace Welch is the founder of Global Vinyasa and a lead yoga instructor dedicated to making teacher training accessible to everyone.
Born in Papua New Guinea to American and Canadian parents, her early life as the daughter of a missionary instilled in her a deep understanding of diverse cultures and a belief that financial status should not be a barrier to education.A former professional athlete and plant-based chef, Candace integrates a holistic approach to wellness into her teachings. In 2018, she launched the world's first "donation-only" Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), a movement fueled by her desire to keep the true essence of yoga alive.An E-RYT 500 instructor with over 13 years of experience, Candace is also a SUP Yoga instructor and a Certified Plant-Based Nutrition Specialist. She currently resides in Seattle, Washington and leads international trainings and retreats in Thailand. "I find my deepest peace on the water. The gentle waves, my studio; the board is my mat. As a certified SUP instructor, I integrate the power of the ocean into every training I lead.
