About
When I found yoga, it was the first time in years I was able to escape everything outside of myself and just be.
That feeling has never left. The moment I step onto my mat, I am home. This is why I continue to practice. This is why I became a teacher.I am an alignment-based teacher with an emphasis towards functional anatomy. This anatomical understanding allows students to connect with their own bodies and determine how their yoga practice can best support them. This sacred practice is not simply about the postures that you come into, it's about connecting to yourself listening to your body's experience, focusing on your breath, and learning to control the mind.I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Carolina Yoga Company (NC, USA) and my 300-hour advanced training with Asheville Yoga Center (NC, USA). My prenatal certification was completed through Sahasrara Yoga School (Hyderabad, India). My yoga journey began over 20 years ago and has given me more than I can ever begin to put into words. Born and raised in a super small East Coast town (we didn't even have a stoplight!), yoga has taken me all over the world both practicing and teaching on 5 continents!Along with being a yoga teacher, I am also a Reiki Master specializing in Usui/Tibetan Reiki Ryoho and Karuna Reiki.
