Denise Friedson

She is a certified yoga teacher, specializing in the yoga of Krishnamacharya, and holds distinction with the Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher and an Experienced Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Denise brings the ancient tools and philosophy of yoga to life in a practical, relatable way. She is passionate about the adaptability of yoga, and leads breath-centered practices for any stage or transition in life. Serving the needs of the individual, she uses the tools of adaptive asana, breath work, chant, meditation, and philosophy to support their journey and growth. A practitioner for nearly two decades and a teacher since 2006, Denise has practiced yoga in her own life throughout various changes, including before, during and after the birth of her children. She currently holds open pre- and post-natal classes at an ob/gyn center and works with non-profit organizations, including working with parents whose children had cancer. In 2009, Denise attended a conference with TKV Desikachar and has since been dedicated to study and practice in the Krishnamacharya tradition. Studying with her teacher, Fran Ubertini, in this classical and comprehensive lineage, Denise completed the initial teacher training in this lineage with The Yoga School NY in 2014 and the advanced 500-hour training in 2016.
