A native of California with strong ties to the Hawaiian Islands Don Silva has spent the last plus years trying to become an Idaho native Yoga has been a long strange trip for Don with over years in the high tech industry exercise has been a refuge from the stress Don sought out yoga as a means of bringing increased flexibility to his body and mind What he discovered after his very first yoga class was a state of being he calls the “yoga buzz” It was a state of being where his body and mind came together filled with peace and ease He was hooked Don has studied many styles of yoga – Bikram Ashtanga Anusara Vinyasa Power and Yin Yoga He has studied with many master teachers to improve his practice and teaching In the early parts of his teaching career he concentrated on the teachings of Dana Baptiste and Bryan Kest in the Power Yoga linage In December Don completed a + hour teacher training to become a certified instructor through the Dana Baptiste Centered City Yoga Certification program InBody Academy in Salt Lake City Utah Always looking to expand his knowledge of different types of yoga  Don completed the YinYasa module of Gabriel Azoulays H teachers training and begin to teach Yin Yoga a more quiet meditative practice to go along with his popular Power Flow classes making him a more well-rounded teacher and to give more to his students as they find their yoga path   After several years of teaching Yoga Don found it necessary to gain Yoga Alliance credentials Graduated the Shanti Yoga School in Don become an RYT  In July of years on the nose exactly Don became an E-RYT  Besides teaching several open yoga classes a week  Don has taught perspective teachers at the Shanti School H School and is now on the staff of the HMY/Halo Yoga School teaching in both the Vinyasa and Yin modules   Don has been teaching yoga throughout the Treasure Valley for close to a decade His teaching style is direct yet playful infused with humor working on not just the body but the mind and spirit as well helping his students find their place in the postures He believes that Yoga is fun…so smile laugh breathe and know all is coming!
