Hey Yogis! And Wanna-Be-Yogis! My name is Dorothy and Im a Yoga Instructor and Health Coach I teach an eclectic style of Hatha Yoga done on a mat! as well as Chair Yoga yoga done seated or standing with chair support Who benefits from Chair Yoga? Well everyone but especially Active Older Adults peeps who need a little TLC or balance support and folks who want to get in a good stretch and bust some stress while sitting in a chair at their home office! What can you expect from one of my classes? First off you get CLEAR directions given in simple language Secondly you are encouraged to do what feels good for YOU--lots of the postures come with modifications for those who might be a little tight balance-challenged or new to yoga as well as suggestions for those who might be super strong or more flexi and want to go deeper into a posture Its all about YOU! Third Im not into fancy yoga "tricks" so no Cirque du Soleil moves just for the sake of looking super cool And you DO look super cool doing themits just not my thing Instead we do postures that strengthen lengthen loosen and move energy Some are traditional yoga postures and some moves are borrowed from Tai Chi Qigong PT Dance Classes etc! Why? Cuz its nice to have variety and to challenge your body in fun ways! My goal is for you to leave class feeling happier refreshed lighter and more loose in your limbs I want you to feel amazing in mind body and spirit alike! Are you up for that? Come practice with me!
