Lizzie took her first yoga class ten years ago as cross-training for dance; she was an avid ballet dancer throughout her teens and was on the dance team all four years in college.
Yoga gradually shifted its way into the forefront of her life during her college years as she discovered and explored Ashtanga yoga. She graduated from Trinity University in 2016 with a degree in biology and earth science; when she isn't on the mat, she is pursuing a career in public lands management. Shortly after graduating college, Lizzie completed her 200-hour teacher training with Southtown Yoga Loft in San Antonio and discovered the joy of sharing her practice and passion with other students. She draws inspiration for her vivid verbal cues from her own practice of the Ashtanga method, which she considers to be a physical and mental experience of illuminating the dark places in the body, mind, and practice. That said, she enjoys exploring all styles of yoga; vinyasa, meditation, and mindfulness will always have a place in her practice and teaching as well.
