About
Though I practiced yoga on and off for almost a decade, I decided to pursue my yogic journey more seriously in 2015.
I completed Amy Pastore's iFlow 200hr YTT program in Bali, Indonesia; and, I have never looked back! I have since become a life student of yoga. There is still so much to learn...Not only has yoga helped me ameliorate the impact of injuries incurred over 30+ years of soccer, running and other contact sports, but it has helped me further my understanding of how the alignment of one's mind and body can lead to a more mindful and peaceful existence... I am inspired by the many talented teachers that I have crossed paths with in the global yoga community; and, I constantly seek and explore new styles and iterations. The tenets of traditional yoga and other Asian philosophies help me navigate and adapt to the turbulence of modern life. I find myself challenging my own thoughts, behaviors, and actions as well the interconnectedness between myself and the world around me. There is nothing more challenging than withholding judgment of oneself and others. The introspection and self-awareness brought about by the philosophical and physical aspects of yoga helps to bring balance to my daily life. I teach introductory level and accessible yoga sessions to youth, adults, and seniors with a range of abilities and dis/abilities for private lessons and for various nonprofit human services organizations. I look forward to helping others discover and explore yoga, however it may applied in their own personal journeys.
