About

Georgia Stormes is currently registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500.

After many years of practicing Yoga, she recognized that people most often stopped attending classes because of discomfort in their back or joints. This led her to seek yoga training that would prepare her to guide mindful classes for all fitness levels, and ages at the Nosara Yoga Institute in 2005. Today Georgia offers individualized guidance and encourages self awareness so students can modify their Yoga guided by the wisdom that comes from within. Her philosophy is that everyone can reap the benefits of Yoga simply by opening channels of communication between mind and body. A cancer survivor herself, Georgia offers classes for others whose lives have been touched by cancer in addition to Self-Awakening Yoga workshops and slow flow Hatha Yoga classes. Her background as an RN and Reiki practitioner make her uniquely suited to sharing her knowledge with those new to Yoga and long time students.
