About
Jilly was born and raised in Ireland and moved to the states in 2007.
She started practicing regularly in her local yoga studio in Ballston Spa with JennieLee Toner and discovered a much needed practice to help destress, increase flexibility and peace of mind. Jilly decided to become certified to teach yoga and completed the 200 hour certification in Hot Warrior Yoga (a mixture of hatha and vinyasa flow) in January 2014. In addition to the 200hrs Jilly has also completed a 30 hour children's yoga training through Radiant child yoga (7/2013) and the Kripalu Yoga in the Schools (KYIS) 60hr training (7/2015). Jilly completed her 300 hour Inner Sanctum Yoga training in December 2018. She has recently graduated from a two year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist working in the school system for the last 10 years. Jilly creates classes that introduce students pre-k through 12 to breathing, yoga postures and games that promote flexibility, body awareness, self esteem and mindfulness. She has expanded her Yoga and Mindfulness work into the criminal Justice System. Jilly considers her yoga practice to be a fundamental part of her life. Her wish is to invite you to practice yoga in an empowering, flexible and fun way creating opportunities to change and move forward.
