A long history of athletics fueled my love for the human body I competed in various sports starting at the age of - waterskiing basketball cross country and softball - all of which laid the groundwork for an active life based in perseverance and dedication I always wanted sports to be a part of my life but I also enjoyed helping others In I started the Simmons College physical therapy program in Boston Ma and found my release from the classroom on their softball field pitching for the Sharks  I achieved a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in and entered into the world of rehabilitation and recovery Working on other people while constantly training myself for marathons or triathlons required a counter balance which I found in yoga rather randomly The lengthening and stabilizing aspects of yoga postures combined with the relaxation components helped me to balance my lifestyle of work and fitness After years of practicing as a physical therapist and a similar amount of time practicing yoga I landed in Coolidge Corner training to become a yoga teacher I completed my -hour yoga teacher certification in February.
