Julie Frizzi

Frizzi graduated from Ball State University and began working with youth in 1985. At that time, she didn’t realize she was dealing with the lingering effects of childhood trauma. She developed habits that allowed her to multitask at the expense of being present. She unconsciously thought, "I am not good enough." While hurrying through life as a school counselor, Mrs. Frizzi reluctantly took her first yoga class. On the silent and safe yoga mat she learned the art of resettling her body with ease. Letting go of holding patterns and past stories permitted her to make subtle changes in her mind, heart, and body. She thought, “If these newly discovered life tools have centered me, just think how they will assist children!” Through self-reflection and over 600 hours of yoga teacher training, an unstoppable passion arose to combine youth life skill lessons with breathing and stretching strategies. This is when Mrs. Frizzi designed Powerful You, a proactive life skills program for youth. She now resides with her husband in Big Pine Key, Florida where the decorated night sky teaches her that there is something much greater than herself. When not practicing yoga, Julie enjoys being on the Florida waters learning life lessons from nature.
