About
My yoga journey began in 1999 with Vinyasa classes held in a church basement in Bowling Green, OH.
It evolved into a consistent Ashtanga and Hot Yoga practice by 2003, during my time living in Chicago and later in Oxford, MS. As a Professor of History at the University of Southern Indiana, I’m deeply intrigued by both ancient and modern yoga traditions. My practice extends beyond the physical; I’ve spent years studying Vedic Philosophy and exploring how Western culture has embraced and transformed yoga. I strive to engage with some aspect of the practice each day and find great joy in sharing its light with my friends, family, and community. I am excited to see you on the mat and to explore asana and philosophy together.
