About
Kristin is a Movement + Meditation Teacher who began her yoga studies in NYC as a graduate of the Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga program created by Sadie Nardini.
She went on to achieve her 200-hour yoga certification at Om Yoga School in Union Square. Here she trained in a mindfulness and alignment-based Vinyasa Yoga format created by Cyndi Lee. Since her RYT training in 2012, Kristin has completed additional courses with Loren Fishman, MD in Yoga for Arthritis and Jason Ray Brown in Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers (ASYT), where she earned an Advanced Teacher Training Certification in Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Injury Awareness and Prevention, and Biomechanics and Kinesthesiology. Kristin has also studied and is certified in Pilates mat and reformer (2007), and somatic barefoot dance practices including The Nia Technique (2005) and Moving for Life DanceExercise for Health (2020). To prepare students for these conscious movement programs, Kristin created a class called Relaxation+Meditation that she has taught at Equinox locations throughout NYC, the Vanderbilt YMCA, and currently teaches online to people with Parkinson's Disease. You can attend her classes in-person at the Greenwich YMCA in Connecticut (www.greenwichymca.org). For more information, visit https://www.youtube.com/@tubed228
