Kristin Mooney, Yoga Chapel at Camp Hill

Combining breath and Scripture, movement and prayer with mindful awareness of the Spirit’s presence, Kristin came to experience yoga as a spiritual discipline. With a desire to share prayer yoga with her community, Kristin completed her first yoga teacher training, “Yoga from a Christian Perspective,” through New Day Yoga and earned her 200-hour teaching certification through YogaFit. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Kristin is the director of a fresh expression of church called Yoga Chapel at Camp Hill UMC. Since 2016, this weekly gathering has brought together both spiritual explorers and long-time followers of Christ. In addition to leading a local Yoga Chapel community, Kristin is the executive director of the Yoga Chapel international nonprofit organization whose work is equipping pastors and certified yoga instructors to shape worshiping communities that connect people with Christ through a shared interest in yoga. Off the mat, Kristin is a steward of the environment with her husband, Dave, whose patented technology, Ecoremedy, converts problematic and messy wastes into renewable energy and beneficial byproducts. Kristin holds a bachelor of science degree in communications and a minor in psychology from Virginia Tech.
