Recognizing that children need balance and focus in their lives Lani first incorporated yoga into her daily schedule while teaching first grade in Coney Island Brooklyn New York way back in the late s She received her -hour certification from the Nosara Yoga Institute in Nosara Costa Rica and then building on her extensive experience with young children she went on to be certified by Next Generation Yoga in NYC & Kenya the Radiant Child Yoga Program Street Yoga Circus Yoga Baby Om Mindful Schools Teacher Trainings & The United We Om training for under-resourced & trauma impacted communities In Lani founded/created Full of Joy Yoga in San Francisco Over the next four years she taught yoga to children in preschools yoga studios homes homeless shelters and after-school programs all over the Bay Area In she relocated to Connecticut bringing her expertise to the East Coast Training others to teach yoga to children is one of Lanis passions as she realizes she can reach many more children by sharing her skills and talents with other adults Since she has organized and led her Full of Joy Yoga Kids Yoga Teacher Trainings for parents teachers and yogis all over the country She created the Mindful Yoga Breaks curriculum along with the Anchor Breath poster & Mindful Yoga Breaks Card deck which she has been teaching in schools all over CT for the last years She also facilitates The Mindful Yoga Breaks Workshop in conferences & schools in person and more recently online Her main goal has been to get yoga & mindfulness into every school!  During the pandemic Lani taught in preschools outside in all weather and in the New Haven Public schools remotely – which all feels like a gift during the uncertainty weve all faced during the pandemic Most recently Lani has published a book called “Yoga Games for Kids” Lani is always striving to improve the lives and futures of children helping them laugh love and grow.
