About
Laura lucked into yoga in the 1980s, walking into a quiet Ananda session in a California church without really knowing what it was.
Right away, she was drawn to the blend of spiritual connection and gentle physical challenge. Yoga has remained a steady companion ever since—a place of refuge and clarity, and a way to balance more strenuous physical challenges. In 2021, a spinal condition interrupted her intense training in bodybuilding and brought with it pain and eventual healing. Through that experience, Laura discovered how transformative it is to feel supported in your body again. She felt compelled to help others who might also be navigating pain, uncertainty, or feeling at odds with their bodies.Laura’s classes are steady, supportive, and rooted in presence. She teaches with a focus on breath, mindful movement, and deep self-acceptance. She encourages students to meet themselves exactly where they are. Her goal is to create a welcoming space for all bodies and all experiences where each student feels supported, and empowered to connect with themselves in a meaningful way.As in her own practice, Laura returns often to the breath as an anchor: Breathing in, and knowing that I am breathing in. Breathing out, and knowing that I am breathing out.”
