About
Lauren became a yoga instructor in 2011 after realizing her personal passion for yoga and holistic health.
She followed this desire through graduate school at Pacific University, where she earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology in August 2018. With integration in mind, Lauren sought her advanced yoga training at Yogajoy in 2015 under the guidance of Sarahjoy Marsh. Now, as a psychologist resident and yoga instructor in Hood River, Oregon, Lauren is excited to further explore the yoga and mental health overlap in her private practice. It is her intention to share her experiences and skills with a larger and more diverse network of individuals seeking yoga’s health benefits. She is an ongoing member and contributor to the Integrated Yoga Community, a community of yoga instructors and researchers working to promote the integration of yoga into healthcare through the scientific study of the practice. Lauren believes yoga is for everyone and will work with you to adapt the practice in a way that feels safe and informative. It is her joy as a teacher to share the many ways yoga can foster a sense of community with others and a sense of contentment within ourselves. For more information: https://www.laurenjusticephd.com/
