Lora Rimmer

She begain practicing yoga in 2011 as a way to find balance in her busy life. Lora retired from the Army in 2016 and, through yoga, continues to serve and help others. With over 2000 hours of experience teaching yoga, and combined with her many years of leading, coaching, mentoring and training Army soldiers and cadets, she provides a unique perspective of connecting body, breath and soul. Lora completed her 500-hour certification in September 2018 through Gopi Sandal’s Yoga with Heart (based in the Bhakti Yoga tradition) in Lawrence, Kansas. Lora’s yoga education and training includes Astanga, Hatha, Iyengar, Prenatal, Vinyasa, Yin and Yoga for Athletes as well as mindfulness and breath practices. Lora is a co-owner of Om Grown Yoga Collective in Baldwin City, Kansas; she currently teaches group and private classes, both in studio and virtually. Om Grown Yoga Collective is a collaboration of yoga teachers focused on bringing movement, mindfulness and breath into the local community. She is available for private lessons, is able to tailor group classes to fit a wide range of capabilities and experience and can create one-of-a-kind workshops to introduce breathing techniques, meditation and specialized yoga instruction (headstands, arm balances, team building, etc.).
