About
Megan Moon is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance.
She is also certified in Yin Yoga, Mindfulness, and Compassionate Integrity Training. Megan currently teaches volunteer chair yoga classes at a senior living community as part of her commitment to seva, the yogic practice that focuses on selfless service to others. Outside of teaching yoga, Megan is a skilled nonprofit consultant who invests in and supports organizations for improved strategy, stronger leadership, and capacity building. She is also dedicated to volunteering and community engagement. Currently, Megan is the Board President of Ohio Animal Advocates and serves on the Advisory Council for Lantern Publishing & Media as well as the Kettering Volunteer Advisory Council. She is also a Master Gardener with Ohio State University Extension, a member of the Junior League of Dayton, and serves on the planning committee for Kettering's annual EcoFEST event, among other projects and initiatives. Megan balances her commitment to community service with a vibrant personal life. She finds serenity on her yoga mat, collaborates musically with her husband, and experiments with plant-based recipes in her kitchen. A nature enthusiast, Megan frequently explores her region's scenic parks and natural spaces with her rescue dog, Panda. Her diverse interests include travel, tending her herb garden and numerous houseplants, watercolor painting, photography, growing her vinyl collection, visiting museums and conservatories, fostering animals, birdwatching, and crocheting. Megan is delighted to be back in southwest Ohio near family again now that her husband has retired from the Air Force. Some interesting facts about Megan: She's lived along the coasts of all three US bordering bodies of water: the Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf of Mexico. Megan became a licensed wedding officiant when same-sex marriage became legal in Ohio. And while her career has brought her into contact with countless animal species, her favorite is the red panda, the inspiration for her dog's name.
