She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F), 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500), IFS Informed Therapist, Current Somatic Experiencing (SE) Student, Clay Artist and Desert Lover. Spanning a 22 year career in mental health, Melissa has extensive experience facilitating trauma-informed healing spaces, retreats and workshops. Melissa completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Power Yoga Palm Springs in 2017 and completed her 300 hour yoga teaching training with the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI. Melissa is a RYT 500 and a Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F).
