I am a registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT), an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT200) and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with 10 years of experience working with children and families in various environments, including schools, daycares, studios, and hospitals.
In 2017, I founded Monkinya; a yoga and mindfulness platform for children, families and educators. I am also a certified Mindfulness Teacher for Children in Method Eline Snel, trained by the Academy of Mindful Teaching. (qualified according to the internationally acknowledged Mindfulness-Based Teacher Assessment Criteria MBI-TAC). I hold a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Bogazici University and currently studying Early Childhood Education at UBC in Canada with a passion for bringing yoga and mindfulness into the lives of children from an early age. I have a daughter named Iris (named after the Goddess of Rainbow in Greek mythology). After living in 3 different countries over the last decade, I am now settled in New Westminster with my family and bring my love for nature, art and mindfulness into every class I teach.
