I have been an avid student of yoga since 1995, being guided into Teacher Training with the Yoga Association of Alberta in 1997 and receiving my 300 hour Certification in 2000.
In the years since then, I have had the pleasure and the challenge of sharing yoga with people from all walks of life. My studies guided me into learning anatomy, physiology, Ayurveda, and special needs yoga. In 2015, the YAA bestowed on me the privilege of being a Senior Hatha Teacher Instructor with the designation of 1000 hrs. I have also been recognized for my years of work and practice in special needs yoga leading to my certification with IAYT. I am a registered massage therapist, certified aromatherapist, and dedicated years of volunteer work with the YARD Yoga studio in Red Deer as well as the Yoga Association of Alberta. Life beckons me on a path to discovery and yoga is an important part of this walk. I will always search out more understanding and happily share from that experience with those who ask of me.
