Shay has been a yoga practitioner and used yoga and mindfulness to support her life since 2005.
She received both her 200 hour Power Yoga Teacher Certification and her 100 hour Power Yoga Extension Program Teacher Certification from Corepower Yoga in Saint Paul, MN in 2013 and 2014. She received 200 Hour Sculpt Teacher certification and 100 hour Sculpt Extension Training from Corepower Yoga Highland Park, MN in 2013. The Adventures of Super Stretch Children's Yoga Teacher certification in Minneapolis, MN in 2013. Additionally completed The Up Rising Yoga Teacher Training Certification to teach at risk youth and underserved communities in Los Angeles, CA 2015. She is a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance. In 2016 Shay was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer and used yoga and meditation along with conventical treatments to heal her mind, body and soul. So after a year long battle she sought out a Yoga for Cancer certification which she proudly now holds and teaches to many in the cancer community.
