About

I am a family physician and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of yoga teacher training with two Registered Yoga Schools.

I graduated from the Awakened Life School of Yoga in November 2016, and I have been practicing and studying yoga for years prior to getting a RYT certificate. As of December 2018, I am also now 500 hour certified with training done at Prana Yoga in Sarasota, Florida. I began my work life as a family physician in 1997, and semi - retired in 2012 after the pull of Yoga science became an overwhelmingly better way to provide help for my patients. As owner and CEO of WELCOME OM LIFE, I provide private yoga lessons, private consults, lead yoga classes in a studio setting & via zoom, and provide ancient yoga teachings of the Eight Limbs of Yoga as outlined by Patanjali. Welcome OM Life is trademarked with the USPTO. As a physician I also provide private consultation for addiction recovery using yoga and meditation for spiritual growth. In addition, I am active in the subculture of psychedelics to help with childhood trauma, mental health issues, and addiction. I have become a highly respected and proficient teacher due to my western knowledge along with the deep understanding of the ancient science of Yoga. I am fully insured as a yoga instructor and is board certified in Family Practice, recertified for another 10 years in 2017. I have an active license in the state of Florida and Minnesota. I am able to provide a higher level of care with this special combination of skills. I recently authored a book called "Opioids & Ibogaine: A Doctor's Trip"(available on Amazon) which outlines how childhood trauma and neglect lead to mental health and physical pain, how this can lead to addiction, and how yoga can help with recovery.
