About

About Tina Stroh, E-RYT 500 — Lead Trainer, Just Plain Yoga 200-Hour Teacher CertificationTina Stroh’s journey through yoga has been anything but ordinary.

She’s eaten Thanksgiving dinner in the rainforest of Madagascar, shaken hands with the Dalai Lama in India, danced with Patch Adams, and—yes—been politely asked to leave a Buddhist monastery. These adventures shaped her own “Eat, Pray, Love” chapter long before the book existed, and taught her that yoga isn’t about escaping life—it’s about living it fully. With over 25 years as a student and more than two decades of teaching, Tina has studied and trained with many of the world’s most respected yoga teachers. Her background in International Studies and Theatre gives her a unique lens on storytelling, culture, and human connection. After three extended trips to India and Nepal—where she studied, filmed, and observed yoga at its cultural roots—she returned with a mission: to demystify yoga without diluting its depth.Through her work at Just Plain Yoga, founded in 2003, Tina has guided thousands of students and teachers to discover yoga as a practice for real people and real lives. Her approach blends academic insight, lived experience, and humor, creating a grounded yet deeply transformative learning environment. As the lead trainer for theJust Plain Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Certification, Tina brings an authenticity-driven perspective to teaching. Her goal is to empower future yoga teachers to teach with compassion, clarity, and confidence—rooted in both tradition and modern understanding.
